How FIYR protects your data

FIYR never sees or stores your bank login, has read-only access to your accounts, and keeps only the last four digits of account numbers. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, is only reachable from your signed-in account, and you can delete it yourself at any time.

Your bank connection

  • FIYR never sees your bank password. You sign in to your bank inside the window of our bank connection partner, Plaid. Plaid holds the connection and gives FIYR a read-only access key, not your login.
  • Read only. FIYR can read balances and transactions. It cannot move money, pay bills or make transfers.
  • No full account numbers. FIYR keeps only the last four digits to tell accounts apart.
  • Disconnect at any time. Unlinking a bank removes the connection at Plaid, so FIYR stops receiving data from it. See unlink a bank.

How your data is stored

  • Your FIYR data is stored on Google Cloud, which encrypts it at rest. Everything between your device and FIYR travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Every request is checked against your sign-in and limited to your own account, so one person's data cannot be read from another account.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Your sign-in

  • Sign in with email and password, Google or Apple.
  • Add two-factor authentication for a text-message code on every sign-in.
  • FIYR keeps you signed in on each device until you sign out, so sign out on shared computers (Settings, Profile, Sign out).

AI features

  • Ask Fiyr answers by running read-only lookups on your data for each question. The results and your conversation are sent to Claude, made by Anthropic, to write the answer. Conversations are saved in your account and you can delete them. See Ask Fiyr.
  • Connected Apps you add yourself, such as Claude or ChatGPT, get read-only access you approve, and you can disconnect them at any time. See connect Claude or ChatGPT.
